KMAT Basic Details

KMAT (Karnataka Management Aptitude Test) is the state level entrance test organized by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association). The KMAT is organized for admissions to PG professional programs, ViZ., MCA, MBA and PGDM. There are 169 + member B-Schools of Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association in State of Karnataka.  KMAT is national level test will be organized in more than ten cities all across the India and also is open to applicants from all areas of India and Abroad.  The KMAT will be held in the month of July or September.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria

For MBA/PGDM admission:

  • Applicants must have completed bachelor’s degree exam with minimum three years duration or Masters Degree exam of any known education body in Management, Social Sciences, Commerce, Engineering/Technology or equivalent and also have secured 50% marks (45% marks for the SC/ST applicant).
  • Applicants in their last year of graduate degree are eligible to appear KMAT.

For MCA Admission:

  • Applicants should have bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% of marks.
  • Applicants must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.

KMAT Application Form Process

  • The KMAT application form is available at its official site of KMAT (
  • Take a Demand draft of Rs 1000 favouring KMAT.
  • After taking DD applicants have to open the KMAT site and then click on the “Apply Now” button.
  • Then applicants have to fill up the mandatory details in the KMAT application form.
  • After submitting application take a print out of filled online application form. Then applicants should paste their latest photograph and signature where signature space is provided.
  • Applicants should note their application number.
  • Then post or courier the KMAT application form along with demand draft to “The Secretary – KMAT, Seshadripuram first Grade College, C A Site No 26 Yelahanka New town Bangalore – 560064”.

KMAT Application Form Fee

The KMAT application form fee of Rs 1000 can be paid through Demand Draft in favor of KMAT, payable at Bangalore.  

KMAT Exam Pattern

KMAT is a paper pen based exam with total 120 objective type questions divided in mainly 3 sections such as logical reasoning, quantitative ability and verbal and reading comprehension. The KMAT test duration is 2 hours (120 minutes). The KMAT exam pattern is as follows

 KMAT Selection Process

  • The Selection process of KMAT is organized separately by KMAT participating institutes.
  • The KMAT selection process involves two steps, including GD (Group Discussion) and PI (personal interview) rounds.
