SRMCAT Exam (SRM Common Admission Test)

Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University Common Admission Test (SRMCAT) is a university level entrance test organized by SRM University, Chennai.  SRM is one of the top universities in the country. The SRMCAT is organized for admissions to PG management course (MBA course) of SRMCAT B-School.  The SRMCET for MBA is common test for SRM University, SRM University Sikkim and SRM University Haryana. The SRM Common Admission Test will be conducted in the April month.  The online application procedure for SRMCAT is expected to be available in the month of March.

SRMCAT Eligibility Criteria

  • For MBA admission (2 years duration): Aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in SRM University admission.
  • For Integrated MBA admission (5 years duration): Aspirants must be passed in higher secondary exam with 60% marks in SRM admission.
  • In addition, Aspirants with good score in CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT or TANCET are eligible for admission.

SRMCAT Application Form Details

  • The application form for SRMCAT is available in offline and online mode only.
  • First aspirants should go to the SRMCAT official site (www.srmuniv.ac.in) and then click on the link Apply online for SRMCAT.
  • Aspirants have to pay an application form fee of Rs. 1000 through online or Demand draft.
  • Apply online for SRMCAT with e-payment: - aspirants should visit the official site and then register by entering the required information and pay application fee online.
  • Offline with DD: - Aspirants can download the application form at its official site and then send to admissions authority along with demand draft for Rs. 1000 drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai.
  • Aspirants have to write their full name and address on reverse demand draft and then send to The Director, Directorate of Admissions, SRM University, Kattankulathur, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu state.

SRMCAT Application Fee

Aspirants need to pay the SRMCAT application fee of Rs. 1000 through online or by demand draft.

SRMCAT Exam Pattern

SRMCAT question paper consists of total 100 questions with time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Every right response carries three marks and every incorrect answer carries one negative mark.  The SRMCAT question paper consists of five sections.

 SRMCAT Selection Process

  • Selecting of the aspirants will be based on the performance in SRMCAT exam organized by SRM University or on the basis of their scores of national level entrance exam.
  • A merit list of SRMCAT will be prepared and then aspirants will be selected for the Group discussion (GD) and Interview for final selection.
